Rebooked our Viking river cruise

We were due to go on our first Viking river cruise 6th July was so looking forward to it as it was part of the lead up to my retirement at end of July.

Rebooked cruise for June 2021 and persuaded by work to defer full retirement till end October . Oh well best laid plans and all that

We were doing Rhine and Moselle valley from Basel to Trier and have booked the same itinerary for next year. Least this way they have just transferred the deposit as our balance had been due at the end of this month and we didn’t really want to pay it then potentially have a battle getting it back

we should be on our first river cruise right now but have had to re-book for May 2021.
We were due to fly to Munich on Good Friday for 3 nights before joining the boat in Passau for 15 nights down the Danube to the Danube Delta / Black Sea and back.
Just got to dodge the virus for the next 13 months so I live long enough to go!

I feel for you about retirement, I was due to retire at the end of March but mid-March they asked me to defer so I am still working with no idea of when I will actually retire.
I have always fancied a river cruise so will be interested in hearing what you think when you do go.

I’ve gone down the retire and return route with a definite finish at end of October. Don’t think I could cope with another NHS winter after all this covid19 stuff.
