Disneyland Paris Half Marathon Weekend!
I love to run & I love Disney so as you can imagine I love runDisney
We are a family of 5 so trips to the states are eyewateringly expensive and although I've been lucky enough to take part in 3 runDisney events I am super excited that runDisney has finally made its way to Paris My sister and I decided it would be just the 2 of us heading to Paris (as we've never had a sisters only trip) and excitedly signed up with Sports Tours International on opening day last October! I've been to Disneyland Paris twice, both times with my hubby & kids (March 2011 & November 2015) and my sister has only been once (approximately 20 years ago!) so we were very excited for an adults only trip The prices for the weekend were heavily inflated but the races themselves were much cheaper than they are in the US so it kind of balanced out ... Hey, loving the trippie, we where in the Q waiting to get into the studios party not too much ahead of you there, & how you managed a 35 min time from your corral I don't know., we where up near the front of A & it took us about 1hr 23mins, stopping for about 5 characters, maybe our Qs where longer., looking back we where at the 2km stand 35 mins in so hmmm you must really move fast!
Can't find day 4? Edit: as I submitted that reply this page with the links on it updated, dough, even when I reloaded it all I was getting was say 1, I'll check back for day 4 later

Ah sorry day 4 is gonna take some time as there will be lots of photos once runDisney finish adding photos to my photopass! I'm hoping to have it done by weekend
My tactic of skipping the first few photo stops on the 5k really helped my time as there were only 2/3 people in each queue further along the course! I usually run a 9 - 9.30 min mile & was a little disappointed to start in coral B but at least I got to wait with my friends |

Excited about Disney

Have just read your report as I was thinking if doing it this year, it sounded fab, til I went to cost it, £940 for two adults in the Cheyenne! Would you say the price of the American ones is much higher?

The cost of the actual races in Disneyland Paris are actually a lot cheaper than the American ones which is why quite a few dibbers are waiting for bib only entry this year
5k in Paris £27 5k in Orlando $80 10k in Paris £42 10k in Orlando $120 Half in Paris £58 Half in Orlando $199 The package prices are massively inflated for the race weekend but obviously coming from the UK the transport costs are much less to get to France than to America We only booked a package last time as we wanted to confirm our place as early as possible to secure our challenge spots! This year I will be travelling alone & possibly buying an annual pass Edited at 07:42 PM. |
