He wound back on that when challenged though.

No one wants to get back to the US more than me. I’ve got flights booked for mid-April next year which I still reckon have a 50/50 chance of going ahead.

I know he says a lot of things. I ignore them as they don't apply to us. It's all about America for him. No-other country is allowed to be first or better.

We are booked for March 13th which is a rebooked trip from Sept this year. I honestly dont know how to feel. I want to be positive but if I'm honest I'm not too hopeful. Then suddenly I'll start thinking that I should really get organised just in case . . .but then I think what's the point

We have an end of March/ April booked-- Still hopeful(especially as KLM gave us low prices on Virgin that I have not seen in years which combined with Disneys offer and reprice makes this almost a bargain) .. Masks and lack of fireworks etc doesnt really bother us..

Key thing is going to be will they sort out pre airport testing and travel corridor agreements as vaccines wont be making much difference so early in the year..

fingers crossed..

I’m booked for mid-April and I want to go of course, but I really hope it doesn’t come down to pre-flight Covid testing as that’s too much of a lottery for my liking. Assuming a positive test means you don’t fly, even if the airline agrees to refund or rebook, all your other arrangements will be in ruins.

Not sure of any other way to be honest until the vaccine takes affect to the degree that the vulnerable are protected, or under 50s are vaccinated neither of which will be happening in 1st half of 2021 at least.

I used to frequent the August and October 20 positivity threads right to the last minute, convinced i'd be going 😔

Now I don't think i'll be going even in 2021 unless vaccines are made available privately which is unlikely. I am of the opinion a certificate will be needed for entry to the USA without quarantine.

My parents are more likely to get back before me.

Our March 10th flight from Gatwick has been cancelled and moved to Heathrow so I will have to change the return flight.
