I'm a cheapskate!
Wilkinson Sword shaving brush. £3.50 on Amazon. Lasts me about a year and then it is showing wear so I change it. Never used gel just plain old soap. What's this aftershave nonsense as well. SF. My Son bought this Phillips one back in July and likes it. However it was £69.99 back then albeit it will probably come back to that price again. amazon/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So wet shavers - what razors do you use and recommend - on reflection I may stick with wet shaving. I’ve predominantly used Gillette products in the past ( family member worked for them)... so what’s best?

I never worry about what’s best, more what’s cheapest, but does the job.
Gillette blue ones with two blades are £3 for 10 in Asda. They work just great with Shield Soap. Aftershave? I am with Mr Morrow on that one.

I was more of a ‘Hai Karate’ man (or juvenile) myself. I used to Nick it off my father. To my eternal disappointment, I never did have a woman attack me in a futile attempt to sexually assault as in the adverts though!

Don’t change. Save your money. Wet shaving is closer and just as quick. Nothing beats a good quality double edged safety razor

Like others, a wet shave is best for me too. I do though have a 9 series Braun which is the closest thing to a wet shave I have found, it isn't cheap though.

Forget all the fancy triple double turbo blades from Gillette etc. Buy a decent Double Edged Safety razor from somewhere like menrock. Will last a lifetime. Replace blades are silly cheap and last. I’ve just bought 100 blades from Amazon for £10. They’ll last me about 3 years
It’s the closest shave you’ll ever get |
