I've used Boots No 7 and currently giving Elemis a bash. I do think there is an element of luck (genes) and lifestyle choices (tanning, smoking, diet) that determine your skin.
I think in a way I have been very fortunate, aside from teen acne, with my skin. I'm a type 1, ginger who acts like a vampire with regards to the sun, I drink my weight in water and never touched a cigarette. I think that has a lot to do with my face and not the products I've put on it(bar the factor 50 of course, that's massively helped ). Anyway, I know you said you didn't want to spend loads - totally understandable but I don't know if you'll get everything you are looking for at under £10. Small businesses need to price up a bit compared to a big brand. Lush do a range of moisturisers, they're all about being ethical, minimal plastic waste but aren't under £10. I did hear a beauty podcast talk about Oil of Olay recently and how it often gets overlooked as an older brand but pointed out there's a reason it lasted. Maybe that's worth a look? My mum has great skin and she swears by Vaseline Intensive Care. It didn't work for me though. Unfortunately I think, especially if you're sensitive, it needs to be a bit of trial and error until you get something that suits you. |

I’ve used Roche Posay in the recent past and definitely recommend it. Now though I’m using Tropic which I LOVE. Look online or find a local ambassador. Very eco friendly and fantastic for sensitive skin. Mine has never felt so good!
Not the cheapest, but not crazy expensive either. X |

I will second the Aldi creams. I've previously used Clarins and Loccitane but was never very happy with them and to be honest I begrudged paying the prices!
My mum bought some of the Aldi day and night cream and said how lovely her skin felt so I gave it a try and was really surprised. I've also got very sensitive skin and have not had any issues with these, plus it's really cheap 👍 |

I use Rosehip oil from Grown Alchemists (apparently the Duchess of Cambridge and her mum are a big fan too). I am late 40s but have no wrinkles at all (yet!). I don’t know whether it’s down to good genes or being fastidious about skin care though. I have just come across a small independent business in Manchester that makes sustainable vegan skincare and they have fantastic reviews so I am going to order some Rosehip oil from there and see what it’s like. They are called Roots Handmade if you are interested.

I’ve never been particularly loyal to any brand and am currently using Lacura from Aldi which I love. I’ve used the Caviar day cream, but I then ordered a number of different ones on line when it ran out. The rejuvenating cream is good, but the one I love the most is the Q10 serum. All are under £10 and make my skin feel lovely. I also tried the rose toner from Aldi, but that didn’t agree with my skin so I went back to Pixi.

Tropic skin feast (you need to find a local ambassador but that’s easy) and it is ethical and all natural and option on scented or non scented

I’ve tried Aldi but found the smell too strong.
I use Simple products, as Unilever are a pretty good company. After I win the Euromillions this week I will exclusively use Dr Haushka. |

Super Facialist is a cruelty free brand, made in England, many but not all of their products are suitable for vegans. The price of their face creams range from £14.99 to £20 full price but there are usually offers on at Amazon, Boots and Sainsburys. They have several ranges within the brand for different skin types. I tend to swap and change brands every couple of years and this is my favourite brand at the moment.
