Christmas eve - plans & food
What are you planning to do this Christmas Eve?
We always go out for a long walk then go out for a meal, nothing fancy, just a pub meal or pizza hut. In the evening we snuggle up snd watch Christmas carol with treats. So far we are in tier 3 so we won’t be able to go out for a meal. I really do not want to cook on Christmas eve so I am not sure what we will do/have. What are your plans and what are you all doing for dinner on Christmas eve? |

We normally go and see local little kids panto then home for bath, then party food and Christmas movie.
We are also tier 3 so no panto this year 😭 apart from party tea not sure what our plans are yet. Its going to be so different this year. |

I will have a day of rest watching TV and posting messages of joy to my dibb family (as well as eating lots of rubbish).

We normally have a chill day doing something fun with the kids. Building gingerbread houses etc (that never stay up). I go to the butchers and pick up the Christmas order then drop it at mums. We usually have a takeaway and watch a movie . I love christmas eve.

I work in retail so will be at work until at least 6pm ☹️
But for the first time in 3 months I will come home and find my daughter and her boyfriend at my house as due to our T3 restrictions I’ve been unable see them so that will be the best Christmas present for me. Her twin brother will be back from uni the week before too, I’ve not seen him since September 😢 Who needs Santa this year 😩 |

The tiers could change, I think they are being reviewed on the 16th?
We sometimes go out for a meal and to the cinema, sometimes we order a takeaway. We are tier 2 currently, but I think we might just order a takeaway anyway this year. |

I usually cook the meats on Xmas Eve - huge gammon and joint of beef.
Hot sandwiches, movie and a few drinks. |

During the day it’s a peeling chopping cooking day. Then we don’t have specific traditions. If it’s not chucking it down we might go for a walk to look at the decorations in peoples houses. Once the kids are in bed at 6:30pm we might play some games or watch TV or just crack open the champers and chat. Goodness knows what we will eat. We have two diabetics, one vegan, and one pescatarian.

For us normally it’s all round to mums 25 of us . Unfortunately not this year. After mums we usually go to our local pub for few drinks . There’s normally a big crowd as lots of locals who work away in England or kids home from uni . Not sure what will happen this year, possibly something to eat in pub this year
