On the contrary Tracey, Brown Derby is one of our long term faves - I think this was visit number sixteen. I hadn't intended to sound so negative about the food. Paul's salad was lovely and fresh, but he'd forgotten he didn't particularly like that cheese. My salmon was rather yukky, but both our mains were really tasty. We'll be eating there again next week, Paul's already looking forward to his Noodle Bowl and a Cosmo |

I'm seriously starving after reading your review Su.
We prefer lunch more than dinner at BD. Normally we ask for a patio table and order a half bottle of champagne. Very nice although I think I will be trying one of the Cosmos on our upcoming trip. |

Gosh it's so long since we ate at the Brown Derby, I'd love to go back again. So many restaurants... so little time

Mmm I want one of those Cosmo's now!
Nice report Su - I've never really fancied this place when I've seen other reports and muct have looked at the menu so many times before dismissing it - think I must really give it a go next time (whenever that is!) What the heck is caponata?

The pictures are making me hungry - we have done th efantasmic package at the Brown Derby the last 2 trips and it was wonderful both times (tip: it's slightly cheaper on the fantasmic package).
Watching the pennies this trip so decided on mama melrose for a change - maybe it would've been worth the extra $$$ just for the cosmo's!
