Outback Steakhouse
Our first Orlando meal was Outback Steakhouse, which was just up the road from our villa in Formosa Gardens.
First we had the bread and whipped butter For mains I had the Alice Springs chicken: Wood-fire grilled chicken breast topped with sautéed mushrooms, crisp bacon, melted Monterey Jack and Cheddar and honey mustard sauce. I had it with a sweet potato and a strawberry lemonade. DH had a filet mignon cooked medium with fries and veg. Cost $58.29 and $16.71 tip Edited at 09:49 PM. |

Earl of Sandwich
On our first full Orlando day we went for a wander to Disney Springs, last time we were here was September 2014 when there was a lot of construction going on and it was good to see how it looks now, with a lot less hoardings up! We revisited one of our favourites from then, Earl of Sandwich and it was as good as last time.
I got same as last time as it's so good, the holiday turkey: Turkey, cornbread stuffing, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce & mayonnaise. I also got a fountain drink (minute maid lemonade) and a packet of bbq crisps (which came in a combo with the drink), I saved the crisps for later. DH had the chipotle chicken avocado: Grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar, avocado, lettuce & chipotle sauce with a side of potato salad and a bottle of water. Cost $25.95 Edited at 09:50 PM. |

Millers Ale House
Another place I had heard a lot about on the Dibb, and had been on the list last time but we hadn't made it, was Miller's Ale House. It lived up to expectations and I knew what I was ordering long before we went!
I got the zinger mountain melt: Medium garlic Zingers® piled over crispy fries and smothered with melted Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon and green onions. Choice of bleu cheese or ranch dressing. I changed the zingers for the honey bbq ones and got ranch dressing. We also both got side garden salads with thousand island dressing and I got a pepsi to drink. DH also had the mountain melt changing the zingers to mango habanero. He got a beer to drink. This was amazing, I think I managed all the zingers and about a third of the fries. Cost $37.08 and $8 tip Edited at 09:53 PM. |
