Place Picked up from:- SFB - 11th to 25th September 16
Category of car hired:- Convertible Make & Model:- Mustang Hire company used:- Budget booked via eBookers Our second Mustang booking of the year! This one with Budget, a shiny black one waiting for us with our name against it - none of the 'find one in the row' business Car had the Custom pack which meant a decent size reverse camera screen and wonderful air cooled seats. It was 4 months old with 12000 miles and Virginia plates. Very clean with no faults or problems. Loved it!

Place Picked up from:- MCO Category of car hired:- Standard SUV Category of car Taken:- Standard SUV Make & Model:- Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Hire company used:- Alamo via Virgin Atlantic. Miles on clock: 3200 Miles driven: 1007 We got to the car garage at about 8:15pm and there was only 4 cars left in the row! A Jeep Grand Cherokee that someone had just taken, another Santa Fe and a Dodge Journey I think. Picked this as it only had 3200 miles on it. Great to drive, had a good amount of power, huge boot space! Managed to average close to 30mpg as well. Edited at 09:35 AM. |

Place Picked up from:- MCO - 23rd Sept 16 - 9th October 16
Category of car hired:- Mid SUV Category of car Taken:- Standard SUV Make & Model:- Nissan, Murano Hire company used:- Alamo Brits When I went to choose the car there were only 2 Jeeps available so went to one of the guys and told him I didn't want a Jeep as I had had a Jeep before and didn't like it (load of rubbish never had a Jeep). Anyway, he just pointed to a row of standard SUV's and said take your pic. A Spanish speaking assistant pointed me to the Murano as it had Sat Nav although he didn't say GPS but it was along those lines. Very impressed with the car and it's gadgets. Plenty of room for our 3 cases and large holdall plus rucksacks etc

Booked : Standard SUV
Taken : Standard SUV Hyundai Santa Fe From : Tampa International October 15-29th Supplier : Virgin Holidays (ALAMO) Not a large selection at Tampa some Nissan Pathfinders with horrible beige interiors , Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and a couple of Santa Fe's , picked this one with about 4k on the clock, to be honest couldn't fault it , even sounded quite mean 'away from the lights' in Sport mode...! |

Place Picked up from:- MCO - 30th October 16 - 19th November 16
Category of car hired:- Luxury Category of car Taken:- Luxury Make & Model:- Cadillac XTS Hire company used:- Alamo via Virgin Atlantic I keep posting various pictures and descriptions of this car but I suspect people are now bored with seeing the same model! This car was exactly the same as we have had in a lot of trips over the last few years - apart from the colour! The leather wasn't particulalrly clean but that wasn't an issue albeit a damp cloth wouldn't have gone amiss! Lovely drive, fairly economical and so comfortable. I never even sat in the drivers seat as my Son grabbed the keys and never relinquished them, hey ho I wondered why my bar bills were higher

Place Picked up from:- TPA - 30th October 16 - 21st Nov 16
Category of car hired:- Std Suv Category of car Taken:- Prem Crossover then changed FOC to a Full Size SUV Make & Model:- Chevrolet Traverse then Dodge Durango Hire company used:- Alamo Brits Paid £598 for fully inclusive for 3 Weeks Arrived at Tampa, straight to the garage, a nice older gent asked when what Car I had allocated, without any haggle he offered me a Chevy Traverse or a Ford Explorer Ltd (I did ask for the Q80 Infiniti he had but he said no..) Both of which were without a working Sat Nav. I chose the Chevy (which was on a New Jersey plate Z61 GUY) although it had 11k miles & was a bit dented & scratched outside, it was clean inside. Had an issue after 10 days with the engine management light flickering, so a quick email & reply & changed the Car at Clearwater Airport. Perfect customer services, no need to replace the fuel on the Traverse (only quarter tank when returned), exchanged for a fully fuelled Durango ( could of had a Tahoe too). Had all the bells & whistles (SatNav, reverse camera, leather & made a perfect trip to the Keys later. The Traverse was thirsty @26mpg, but the trip down the Keys was almost 37mpg with the Durango. Both boots were very small if you used it as a 7 seater, but fine with the back row down for easily 4 large cases & hand luggage. Both Cars are BIG but just what I needed going through the 5 lane road works in Miami & the 8hr drive each way to the Keys. I'm not sure how fun it would of been in a smaller car.
