My cameo 3 arrived on Tuesday, watched loads of stuff on tube, and picked up lots of tips on pin.
Bought vinyl, weeding stuff from flea... not actually cut anything yet though 😊

Hi guys
Just got a cameo silhouette 4
New to cutting vinyl but not new to crafting

I've got some vinyl
Detape
Ri-Mark

Also application tape Demark

Q is... The vinyl seems to stick to the application tape and not release very easy. What I mean is when I do lettering eg 1inch tall, when I'm starting to peel back the tape it seems. To bring with it the tops of. The letter and I'm. Having a hard time just peeling it off compared to youtube vids I see.

Is the vinyl basic and not very good

Is it the application tape (clear)?

Hope someone can shed any light?

I notice a lot of USA crafters use Oracle vinyl.

Ive been using my new cameo 3.
I didn't have a clue about vinyl so I just bought some a4 sheets on eBay and some weeding tools.
The most difficult thing I find is getting the cutting depth correct.
The test cut is so small, it's hard to see.
Re the transfer tape, I've not really had any problems, but you do have to take it slow, I use a pair tweezers, if it looks like a fine letter isn't going to stick or release, I use these to gently lay the letters on.
I bought the transfer tape with the grid on the back so it's easy to line lettering up.

Brill thanks for the reply

Glad your getting on well.

With depth I just drew a sml box and starting cutting... Incriminating the depth up until I went thru the backing then since I've been using the slightly thinner depth just before.
