LA hotel has cancelled my August stay
I suspect this is the start of a series of emails I'll get. I've just had one through from the Intercontinental Century City to say that our August booking is cancelled as the hotel will be closed.
I know it's only one hotel and it seems a bit early for them to take a decision to be closed but its knocked any confidence I had of our August trip going ahead.

We pulled our July trip earlier this month as the writing was on the wall, fair play to VA who reimbursed our reward flights in full within 7 days and did not charge us the £30pp fee either.

We've taken the decision we're going to cancel all of our August 2021 trip now and try and rebook it all for 2022 (was a 2020 trip originally...).
I know things look like they're going to be open now but I can still see some restrictions being in place and when we'd be throwing over £15K at this trip I'd want it to be perfect.

My Century City stay was also cancelled. Don’t panic, it’s not a COVID thing, the hotel is actually ceasing operations for now, there should be no knock on effect for other hotels.
