A friend parks in the (large) station car park at Rochester whenever we go to London together and I don’t recall it been expensive (she’d definitely moan if it was ) . We’ve never had a problem getting parking at the station on a week day. It’s a new station so parking is plentiful .
My son used to have a season ticket for parking at Rochester station but if he wasn't in a parking space by 7:30am he couldn't guarantee getting a space. This happened on numerous occasions and most of the public car parks near the station are short stay so a maximum of five hours. However this was pre-pandemic and he has worked from home for the past year as have many London commuters so probably won't be such an issue this summer. Weekends will definitely be easier to park unless there is a festival on.

We never drive there festival weekends , it makes more sense to hop on the train , Sweeps is cancelled this year though.

Hiya i live 10 mins away and commute from rochester to london daily (well wfh atm). It's empty during the days currently and there are still spaces in the week. There's the car park right outside the station which is short stay but many other carparks around. There is also free unlimited parking on city way, next to city way nursery which is a 10 min walk to the station max. There are always spaces there but may have to park further up the road if people are back commuting. Message me if you need any more info or ideas for days out.
