Couple Of Apps We Found Fun

Aside from the My Disney Experience app - which was brilliant and used all the time we also found the following great
Spot The State - a great app for trying to collect all the plates from all the states, the states are listed in alphabetical order, you tap the one you see and it colours it out on a map
Heads UP - a brilliant game to play in the queues, different subject catagories, you turn the phone so you can see it, a word comes on the screen and other family member try and discribe the word for you to guess - there is a disney version you get for free if you are in the parks (you need to turn your location on for this) - loads of people were playing it, great way to interact with those teens that are otherwise on their phones

We've collected state plates for about 12 years and always had a sheet of paper in the car which Joan used to tick them off. We then found an app called State Plates about 3 years ago which Joan loaded on to her iPhone.

As you say much easier to tap the state when you see one. We've had Hawaii twice (in Florida )

Lucky - we were missing Alaska, Hawaii, Wisonsin and both North and South Dakota - not bad as we did not do as much driving this trip

I have to admit that I've kept a spread sheet record over the years. We've never got all 51 (DC do one) in one holiday and the best is 49. We've done it 20 times and the rarest have been Hawaii (2), DC (4) and Alaska and N Dakota (6 each)

They have to be on vehicles though - we don't count the plates on the wall at Manny's Chop House.

Have seen them all except Hawaii. February is a good time as it's snowbird season!

I wondered on here some time ago why anyone would bring a car from the middle of the Pacific to south-east USA and a Florida resident Dibber suggested that they may be in the forces transferred from Hawaii to Florida and bring their cars with them.
