Is there a limit to what I can charge to magic band?

I'm planning on paying for a character meal out of pocket and charge that to my magic band that I can pay off at my resort which is POFQ. Is there a limit? I should know this but I don't

No limit for a single transaction as far as I'm aware. There's a resort limit (but it's quite high, $1500, I think), but when you hit that they charge it to the card you have on file and then reset so you can continue spending! You'll be fine with a character meal

On the Disney websites it says things like, fancy a snack, then charge it to your Magic Band so I was unsure about an actual meal

There shouldn't be an issue charging the whole meal to your magic band to pay off via your linked card, there's a Q and A here on the disney moms panel here

We charge everything to our band; don't even take cash or cards out with us. We don't think about it until we go to reception to get a print out and pay some of it off, which we like to do every few days to keep on top of it. I believe you can also view room charges on MDE now, but that wasn't available last time we were there a couple of years ago

We charged everything at Christmas from bottles of water to dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby. No issues at all.
You can view your bill at any time until checkout on your mde app now which was very convenient.

Heres two pics showing how you can keep track of it on the app; These are from my last visit in Sept 2017.

This is the My Reservation Screen as it looks after check in, you can see your room info, then buttons for checking Dining Plan, and also View Charges

This one is the Room Charges screen, so you can always see exactly where you are at any time
