Is Thomas Cook Premium Economy worth it?
Thinking about this for our inward flight (outward premium is already booked up for August 2020!).
It will be £440 extra for 4 people. Just thinking that as it's an overnight flight would it be worth it as we'll probably be asleep for most of it!

We did premium on the way out. On way back economy and yes we just tried to sleep. I much prefer TUI premium, with them we got fast track through security, and lounge access. Also felt more special and food better.

If you normally sleep on a night flight in economy then I would save your money and enjoy it while you are away. If however you don't sleep you can enjoy, bigger seats with more leg room ( also good for sleep), welcome drink and free drinks throughout the flight, better IFE, also priority boarding. I would like to say the food would be better on the night flight but it is American fayre so can be a bit hit and miss. I personally don't sleep and would not dream of travelling economy on a night flight as I like the comfort if premium. Having said that you need to think if the price. I travel premium but when booking I book economy out and premium back. I always upgrade but watch the price to try and get a bargain. The most I have paid (on the outbound flight) has been £100, the least has been £20. It really comes down to what you want to spend your money on and if that little bit of extra comfort is worth it for you.

I liked PE TC in May. My only slight issue is that the arm rests are static, (I don’t know if that’s normal for other companies). Therefore on the return flight my grandson who would normally lie across a few laps had a very uncomfortable night.
Overall I’d fly PE again food outbound excellent insofar as plane food goes, crew amenable. |

We book premium outbound and inbound, I don't sleep either way so it's worth it for us. I like the bigger seats and everything else that goes with premium. I am surprised that the outbound is full already, or is it just not showing as available? I know ours at the end of July has quite a few available, but you can only see them when booking if you try to book for 1 or 2 people, or on manage my booking if you've already booked premium. You could book inbound then keep an eye out for a deal on outbound. We like the priority check-in and boarding both ways, the queues at Orlando have been LONG for economy

Oh, so if it's just not showing as available, when would the outbound premium seats become available?

If the plane has premium then only Thomas Cook can answer that If I were you I would check that the plane has premium, then see how many seats are still available, keep an eye on them being released, be aware that they can be at a high price but I know that they can drop in price at times. Or, you can do as others have done, booked economy then check for upgrade possibility. What dates are you looking at, are they set in stone? Ours are usually set by our son, he asks for the dates and once he has the go-ahead we look then book when happy with the price, if we had to change he would then have to request again and possibly not get the dates, or length of time.

If there are two flights on the day, then usually only one will have premium, but this isn't the case on Saturday, when both flights are normally premium.
