Towels... water parks

Could someone please confirm that onsite guests can get free towels in the water parks using their magic bands?

Last time we were there 2016 we had to pay for towels at B.B. and TL, not sure if this has changed now?
You can take towels from your room and just leave them at the water park when you�re done.

Yep definitely we were at typhoon lagoon yesterday and got free towels.

It�s changed now - they are free.

We are staying onsite, and when we went to TL last Thursday we took towels from our room, and left them there at the end of the day. Planning to do the same when we go to BB on Sunday.

They are free for onsite guests. Here now and got them at both typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach.

They are free, and I wasn�t asked for my magic band. I just said I was a resort guest.

Thanks everyone for your reply's.
We have always taken them from the resort before but I thought I had heard on the grapevine that we no longer needed to do this
