Hello Katie!

I was sooooo very sorry to hear what happened to you, the b*****ds. I was so relieved that you were able to fly home as planned.

It was a pleasure to meet you all, funny how we bumped into you a few times, although I guess being on the same flight it was inevitable

Anyway, hope the new job is going well, and I really hope you do get round to writing a trippy, it would be such a shame to not record your holiday, even if what happened at the end ruined it for you. Perhaps writing the report will help focus on the amazing time you had before the burglary.

Take care and I'll keep an eye out for your report

Jo xxxx

Oh Katie that is truly horrible. We got burgled on our last trip (but luckily they didn't get passports as we had those on us). We lost loads but also helped the sheriffs find the b****** that broke into us by using the find my iPad app on my husbands iPad. We did get that back but lost loads of money, all our duty free, my Tiffany jewellry (why did I think it would be safer with me?) and loads of other stuff. My dd6 and I just sat and rocked cuddling each other for hours whilst the sheriffs did what they did. Luckily the management company sorted out another villa for us for a couple of nights as it wasn't safe for us to stay. All I kept thinking was what if we had been in and they'd had a gun? So also clung to the fact it was only stuff (sentimental stuff) and we were all safe.

I hope you are all ok and aren't too traumatised by it all. It does get easier as I suspect you're still worried about things. Feel free to pm me if you want to chat. Take care, xxxxx

Oh what an awful end to your holiday, especially as it meant you couldn't attend your BILs wedding

I did hear about your burglary and was so sad for you as it must have really ruined your holiday. We're staying in sunset lakes next year so I have to be honest it's made me more nervous. I think I've always assumed that anything in the safe would be 'safe' and so I haven't worried.

I'm really glad they found the guys that did it, what nasty pieces they must be.
And it's awful you missed the wedding. I'm sure it will take you all some time to recover from the experience.

I'm glad it hasn't put you off going back.
Xx
