Flight Cancelled on Monday
Hi,
Just after a bit of advice. Our flight for today was cancelled on Monday evening. We thought it was a bit early to make the call but Norweigan cancelled our 2.40pm 4th September flight and rebooked us to Saturday. Orlando airport's 12pm opening was announced before our flight was due to take off so in effect weather wasn't to blame for the cancelation. Do we have any right to compensation under EU law? I know there are people in much worse situations at the moment but I'm annoyed we've lost 3 nights of our holiday, hotel costs, car hire, airport parking etc when we could have travelled today. The travel insurance will eventually cover it (minus the excess) but we're feeling really frustrated that the call to cancel was made so soon.
