Mobile Fly out on the 10th September

Hi guys,

I am due to fly out the 10th September. How likely is it that business will resume as normal after the hurricane has hit? Slightly concerned 😊

Probably 2 days at the most so everything will be back to normal by Thursday 4th,it's looking like it's going to miss now!

I flew out the day after Irma. We had to be firm with Virgin who wanted us to re-book but as the holiday was diy that wasn't going to happen. They did paint quite a gloomy picture of what conditions would be like when we arrived but it wasn't as bad as they said. Water bread, milk and fresh veg were in short supply that night in the Orlando area but outside of that things were fairly reasonable and all back to normal within days. Orlando will get high winds and lots of rain. Keep in mind that Dorian will go up the coast and past Orlando on Wednesday 4th September, you are travelling nearly a week later.

It will be business as normal weds night / thurs morning i bet.

Dont forget, the way airlines work is the only people who are impacted are the ones on the said day an airport is closed or a flight is cancelled etc, them passengers will be rerouted with various delays etc put onto flights where there is space.

It should have zero impact to people a few days later.

Uk we would be down for months, the US in particular those states used to it , by the next day. Most of the damage is Coastal, I think Irma was the first in a longtime that was still at Hurricane strength when it hit Disney. Been there during Jeanne,'04 I think, it was windy & wet but still warm & you are generally on curfew anyway

I am also flying on 10th, and am not worried about it. Like an earlier poster I too arrived in 2017 the day after Irma struck, but by the morning after I arrived the parks were all open and everything was fairly normal. Admittedly some people in villas were still suffering power cuts in some areas, but WDW was definitely back to normal apart from gangs of workers clearing fallen branches and the like.

My parents are there at the moment. Seems like it’ll just be rain and wind! So nothing to worry about!

I landed 2 days after Irma in 2017 and it was business as usual in WDW, the parks had reopened. A couple broken trees here and there but that was the only clue there was a hurricane a couple days before. The Jungle Cruise was closed for a couple days, so was Typhoon Lagoon, but as we were not planning to go there until day 3, our plans were not affected in any way. So don't worry, it will be fine.

We are due to fly on the 12th - and even I am worried.

We were there for Frances and had to stay an extra 5 days as MCO was shut due to damage...

Will always remember driving up to the airport and seeing what looked like half the VA 747 fleet waiting to take us home.

Eventually flew home on a packed flight with the bare minimum crew and no food or drink onboard.
