I am sure I've asked this before but I can't find my post. Apologies for posting again.

Can anyone please recommend a nice hotel in Edinburgh 😊👍preferably in the city centre and not really expensive (if such a thing exists)

Thanks so much 😍

Last year I stayed at the Doubletree (along Bread Street) as they had a pretty good rate available when I booked. This wasn't quite exactly in the city centre but was within easy walking distance of the city centre. I walked from it to the Royal Mile, to Princes St, Edinburgh castle, etc. Only needed to take a bus to/from it when I had luggage with me. It was a really nice hotel too, the room I had looked like it was probably recently refurbished as most things in it looked very new.

Hilton have a sale on
We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express. There’s one on the Royal Mile and one at Picardy Place which is fairly central

Thanks so much everyone. For Friday to Sunday hotels were around £400/£500

We have moved our dates to Monday to Wed and the Hilton's coming in at £292 for the 3 of us. Think we will just book this. Looking forward to doing a night ghost walk and going to the Christmas market.

Why don’t you look for an AirBnB, there are loads of them in Edinburgh and some are within a 20 minute walk / 5 minute bus ride into Princes Street.

Which ghost walk are you doing? We’re going through at the start or Dec and I can’t decide which one to do. We did the unground vaults
the last time which was good.
