apologies in advance, its another deposit not returned..
I posted on a previous thread about our current situation.
Returned over a month ago,and still not received refundable deposit. Had communication earlier this week stating owner would pop cheque in the post, however postie did not bring us any nice letters. My dh is more patient than me,and is happy to wait a while longer, but I'm not Feel like grumpy, but want to feel like Cinderella. |

Has the owner emailed to say that they have put the check in the post, if not call them and ask if it has been sent (2nd class mail can take over a week to be delivered), if not then you need to decide if you want to go to the next step which is talked about on the other thread you posted on.
Fingers crossed your deposit get's returned soon. Steve |

Thanks Steve.
Owner said it was going in the post Tuesday, but if it could take a week, then dh is right to keep the faith. I simply don't understand the delay, clearly it's not good business practice-but as someone stated previously -no-one knows what's going on in their lives( or ours or anyone's!) -which is why dh is cutting them some slack. |

Just drop them an email and ask if it has been posted as you have not received anything yet, then you will know for sure if they have sent it.

I think I remember your previous post August wasn't it? Even if they were waiting for bills to come in as some owners do they would have had them by now.
We give that information upfront along with the quote. Our management company email us their report when they do the end of stay clean to confirm everything has checked out. Did they indicate how long you would have to wait before you booked? If they have posted second class you would expect it by this Tuesday at the latest. Hope you get good news soon Alison |

Can't you just ask them to return by internet banking, I send all our guests deposits back that way as it's instant or within just 2 hours.
There's no way it was posted on Tuesday if it's not with you by now Sandra |

I would then agree with Sandra.
Give them a call and ask for it to be transferred back to your bank. That's how most of our guests choose to make payments these days and we prefer to refund that way as it is so straight forward and quick. They could just cancel the cheque and pay it through the bank. Alison |
