Will the car definitely have latch/isofix? AND TOP TETHERS

Hi,

Just trying to decide whether to take our own cars seats this time round as they HAVE TO be installed with isofix. I know latch is compatible but what if it’s not in the car I hire? I’m probably worrying over nothing as it’s rare for there not to be isofix over here in modern cars.

Would be hiring a mini Van or 8 seat suv.

Any thoughts please?

Unless you are hiring a classic car no worries , Latch has been Mandatory to be fitted since 2001 at Manufacturer.

Fabulous thank you for reassuring me. Would be awful if I got there and couldn’t use their seats.

Sorry just changed the title to add top tethers. I forgot the new seat for our son is fitted with isofix, belt and top tethers. Will take if this is ok.

We will be hiring either a minivan or 7/8 seat SUV. I’ve looked at the car hire pictures and I can see top tethers hooks on some but not others.

They have them we use they top teather every time for the grandkids seats we have here in Florida

I’d rather take my own but just stressing that they won’t fit. Last time we went we just had 1 infant carrier which belted in. Now it’s 2 kids and seats with all the bells and whistles 🤣
