I would have taken that from BA (whilst still pushing for a refund).

KLM? I am not so sure. Their clear and apparent evasion of their legal responsibilities make me suggest that they have no moral compass and therefore I would not trust them. I certainly would never consider booking with them in the future.. in any case.

They can join Virgin Atl on my ‘do not use’ list. And please don’t think I am not bloody minded when the price is right.
Since the BHS farce, I have not entered an Arcadia Store.
I have never bought anything from Mike Ashley.
I have never bought anything from the furniture store at the end of my road.. he went bust then started up again whilst refusing to repay £950 to a friend who had ordered a sofa!

There’s no way I will accept a voucher. The European Commission have been clear on the matter and they set the regulation not the Dutch government. The Dutch government have given their support in an attempt to not have to bail KLM out. Frankly the airline (not the only one) looks wobbly and I’d have limited faith that it would be there when you need to use your voucher or that they wouldn’t try to find a way of making your voucher suddenly not valid. The law is clearly on the side of the consumer here. If they won’t budge that’s what small claims court is for.
