Wilderness lodge transport
Hi all we are looking at wildness lodge for next August. I know you can get the boat over to the magic kingdom can you also get a bus.
What are the buses like from wildness lodge to the other parks. Thanks. Edited at 02:49 PM. |

That’s my home resort. We’ve been in July for the past 2 years and have had no problem with transport.
The boat to magic kingdom is fab - like the buses it’s approximately every 20 minutes. There is a bus too but we never used that as the boat was easy to use and a fab way to travel. Buses to other resorts were every 20 minutes and the live board at the bus stop told you when the next one was due. Also a cast member was on patrol each morning to keep the buses flowing.

There are sometimes buses to MK but sometimes there is a sign directing you to get a boat.
We found the transport to be shocking, so much so that we demanded a change of hotel, we would have gone anywhere but they looked at our plans saw we had MK activities booked so moved us to Grand Floridian. We didn’t find the transport from the hotel too bad other than the final day when we waited a long time for a HS bus, the CM didn’t give a damn and didn’t even try to find out when there would be one. That was final straw and we demanded the move that day. Most days it was ok going to the parks but we had several really long waits trying to get back to resort. It was that bad a few times we gave up after 45 minutes and got a Lyft back. I would never stay here again because of the transport. I am not generally prone to complaining about Disney transport, I have written hotel reviews on here and have said it was fine everywhere else. |

We stayed for a week last year & no transport issues, used boat to both MK & Fort Wilderness, don't really recall any bus issues. In WL defense I think any transport issues fall at Disney's feet as I know they have scaled back transport during the "quieter" hours.
