Here’s what they should do. If this goes on for a long time and they allow everyone to get their points back and bank them, the whole system will grind to a halt. Apart for the points owned by DVD, remember every point for every night is in member’s possession. Banking and borrowing only works because equal numbers roughly will bank and borrow.
So simply if too many unused points are banked, there simply isn’t the availability to use the points.
So what DVC need to do, if this goes on for too long and they allow points back and banking, is flatten the curve (where else have we heard that) and allow those points to be banked spread out over say 5 years.

I’d be fine with a refund of management fees for any points lost.
