Incident at Manchester Airport Transport Interchange

Apparently a package has been found.

From GMP

A cordon is in place at Manchester Airport transport interchange and people are encouraged to follow directions from officers.

Trams, trains and buses are currently suspended to and from the airport interchange.

First thought was an upset Thomas Cook Customer... but if a package has been found,... guess it depends whats in the said package,.

Looks like it�s all under control but still...

Bomb disposal officers are at #ManchesterAirport transport interchange to assist GMP with enquiries.

As part of their assessment to ensure the package is safe, a controlled explosion took place.

The cordon will remain in place as a precautionary measure as enquiries continue.

Just got back from Manchester, it was a complete snarl up. Everyone thought it was something to do with the collapse of TC but it turns out it was two separate incidents

Firstly a guy running round the interchange stark naked and then after that sorted out it was a suspicious package (maybe how the earlier incident could be described too

) that had to be removed in a controlled explosion
