Geoffa RIP xx

We are sad to tell you that our lovely Geoff The High Admiral of Harrow has passed away 😢
You all know he had been very poorly and was diagnosed with cancer a matter of weeks ago.
The cancer spread quickly and he did not have a chance to fight it with the vengeance he wanted to.
Geoff was good humoured until the end and went peacefully in his sleep. He left us all with absolutely no regrets❤

Words are not enough to say how utterly devastated we all are to have lost such a dear friend💔

Our thoughts are with Geoff’s husband Darrin and all their family at this sad time.

Geoff has been a huge driver in the Dibbcast fundraising events over the past few years which has seen over £10,000 raised for Cancer Research.

Following his diagnosis, he asked that we also include MacMillan in our fundraising efforts, which the rest of the team and Dibb admin fully supported.

Geoff was a dear friend of mine and I found out this sad news yesterday.

I will always remember him for his outstanding trip reports, his excellent and sage advice and his absolute sense of humour.

We used to message each other up to 10 times a day and swap E Mails. Quite often I would run one of my responses past him before posting and he would caution me to change it.

When he was very ill my Granddaughter wanted to send him a picture she had done in crayon and he sent a lovely reply back to me for her. That sums up the type of person he was.

Darrin. I cannot imagine what you are going through at the moment as his passing was so quick. Take care and I will be in touch
