Party member too ill to come...

Anyone got any advice about claiming on insurance?

Basically the elderly member of our party was unable to travel due to developing chest infection. If she wanted to claim on her insurance, would we split the villa cost between the number of guests and use that figure? Any pearls of wisdom? Anyone been-there-done-that?

Thanks in advance

M 😊

No experience, but I'd assume you'd split the villa cost between the number of paying adults, and let the insurance company know. Shame for the person concerned, but i guess health is more important.

Thanks Conor’s Daddy - it was a horrible decision for her to make (and it’s my mum so I felt awful for her and worried) but I’m not sure they’d have even let her on the plane as she looked at deaths door ☹️ I was actually thinking we’d have to split the cost into 7 but 3 are kids so I guess I’ll suggest splitting into 4!
