Tend to agree with this it's a restaurant we feed the kids in occasionally in the UK but wouldn't go there on holiday.
Its not as if you need to go far to find a McD's in the US anyway.

IMHO it's a pity all McD's aren't replaced. It will be nice to eat some actual food rather than the deep fried everything menu they offered! The new restaurant sounds superb - Disney are starting to wise up at last.

I was actually looking forward to going back to McDonalds at DTD - we went in 2008 and I got a Strawberry Milkshake - it had actual bits of strawberry in there, I was amazed.
Oh well, we're there a week after it closes so won't get to try the new place out either. D'oh! |

The only other one is fairly near the all star resorts. You would have to take a bus to a park, then a bus to the all stars, then walk from the all stars to the McDonalds!

oh no ! say it isn't true !
yeah i know its McDonalds, but it is OUR family tradition to go there on our 1st night as we never feel like eating much after travelling and MC'S fits the bill. we sit and people watch have a burger, then stretch our legs wandering around DTD then back to MC D's for a coffee and an apple pie. once this is done we sat" were HOME ", it just won't be the same without MCdonalds. we go 9 days after its closed . |

Must admit, I'm gutted too. McDs was brilliant for us as we don't do 'other type' restaurants. An ice cold coke and a burger from McDs on our way home at the end of a tiring evening browsing DTD was just perfect for us. A refil of our diet coke on a hot humid night in July/August and we were on our way back to the car. Only ever done Earl of Sandwich up to now as the other places have not appealed to us and neither does this new place
