Character Greeting Changes at the Magic Kingdom.

Some new character arrangements have been put in place at the Magic Kingdom, due to the disruption the colossal Fantasyland Expansion will cause to the current meet and greet areas. Some new characters are appearing, and some old favourites are being re-located. The changes will take place from May 9th 2010.

The changes are as follows:
Firstly, as Ariel has been kicked out of her Grotto, she will now be appearing in her human form, along with Prince Eric, on the Adventureland Veranda. Also in Adventureland, Pirate Goofy will be roaming around somewhere near to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride - be sure to stop by and say hello.

Because Pooh's Playful Spot is closing, Pooh and friends have been relocated to the Tour Garden, which is next to City Hall.
Chip, Dale and Stitch will be in Tomorrowland, and rumour has it that Chip and Dale may be trying to hitch a ride on a spaceship, and so will be dressed appropriately.

Other characters will be roaming around Fantasyland...

... posing for pictures, signing autographs, and basically running around having a good time, spreading pixie dust along the way, of course. These characters include Peter Pan, Wendy, Mary Poppins and Bert. And last but not least, Snow White will be over by the Wishing Well, wishing for the "one she loves to find her"!

It looks like the Tinker Bell and her fairy friends will be taking a break for a while, until their new Pixie Hollow is complete, unless Disney are building a temporary area for them (as they are for Mickey and Minnie) inside Expo Hall on Mainstreet USA.

i think i will be nice to see them in different areas personally, will be a change of scenery in the background of our pictures this year, not that i mind them being in the same areas just that it would make a nice change,

So the will the fairies definitely be in pixie hollow until may 9th? We fly out on the 4th and I know tink is on dd1s list so we wouldn't want to miss her!

I would imagine so yes, may not be there a couple of days before the 9th, but if you go on your first or second day, im sure you will be fine But no-one can say for definite.

My daughter is going to be gutted about Tinkerbell and friends. Does that mean that the Princesses wont be there either?

I (as an adult) am a bit gutted that I won't get to meet the fairies lol. I only just watched the Tinkerbell films and thought they were pretty good!

I hope tink and her friends are back for christmas... i want to meet her so bad. how long are these arrangements going on for?

It might mean it is not so busy - when they were mostly in one place in Toontown, everyone congregated there to meet characters and the queues could get really busy. Maybe now they are all over the park, it might not be so busy.
