The Rankins Return - July/Aug 2012

*Dances around the room* ... paid the last installment to our holiday today so feel it's time to make firm plans and start my pre-trippie!

SO EXCITED NOW!

Bit of background first - there's me (41), hubby (43) and daughter (10) heading back to Orlando on 29th July! We went last year to celebrate my 40th and our 15th wedding anniversary - a once in a lifetime holiday and booked it again as soon as we got home! It's been more difficult this time though as we've had far less time to save and have upgraded the car and pre-booked our seats etc.

We're going with Thomson from Glasgow and will be staying at the Rosen Inn again - loved it last year. Right in the middle of everything and lots to do at night. The hotel is great for kids as well, had a few relaxing days by the pool and DD made lots of friends so that made us chill out more too!

As I'm an event organiser I like to be pretty much booked up for everything before I go so I already have the following done:-

Passports
ESTAs
Travel Insurance
Seats on plane - can be pre-booked from 15th May (reminder set on phone!)
Universal 14 day passes - booked through Attraction Tickets Direct
Legoland Florida - as above
Kennedy Space Centre - as above
VIP Planet Hollywood Dinner/Chauffeur Drive - as above

We did all the Disney Parks last year but will probably do MK again this year and maybe Typhoon Lagoon.

We're also planning to visit Anna Maria Island and stay overnight in a nice beachfront studio. I'm having a great time looking at places to stay on the internet but need to wait till pay day till I can spend any more money or my hubby will not be amused!

Oooooh, can't believe it's all paid for now - all £3200 of it! No credit cards used at all - just hard earned cash. (We've been on budget food shopping and no nights out for the last 10 months but it's been worth it! )

Can't wait to get into the nitty gritty on my Dibb Planner...

More to come later...
