Cedar Point
Afternoon Dibbers,
I was wondering if any of you lovely people had ever done just a Cedar Point trip as I'm considering a trip there in the future. So a few questions, Who did you fly with? What Airport did you fly from in the UK and change at? Where did you stay? How long did you go for? How long travel time did it take? Transfer time in the airport you changed at? Thanks in advance lovely people |

We have done Cedar Point a few times.
For us it is cheapest to fly to Toronto go to Canada' Wonderland ( 20 min drive) stay a night or two, you go past Niagra falls on the way and then drive to Cedar point - it is so easy if you use the toll road ( very cheap). Around a 6 hour drive but we used to break it up with a stop over in Erie. We have stayed at Great wolf Lodge a few times and one of the Cedar Point hotels - both great. A lot of the hotels in Sandusky are IMO cheap and not so cheerful. There are other Theme parks nearish King's Island in Cincinatti, and American Adventures in Michigan. One of our favorite places is near by in Michigan Frankenmuth - It is a German Town with a massive Christmas Shop. Michigan is a pretty state. We have always gone the last two weeks of August - The weather has been good and crowds manageable. If you do Canada's Wonderland or any of the other parks mentioned it is worth buying a six flags annual pass. Let me know if you need any more help.

Thank you very much for all that advice I would for sure spend a day at seeing Niagra falls as it always looks so amazing from pictures.
Sounds like there is lots of theme parks in the area perhaps a road trip for a month or so might work. Thanks for the Sandusky advice as I was probably going to stay there so maybe I'll stay at Cedar point itself. |

We stayed in the Cedar Point Express Hotel very reasonable price and just outside the park gates.
