I’m not sure what type of accommodation you’re looking for but there is a Travelodge and a Metro Inns on the same site as Beancross hotel/restaurant and a Premier Inn a couple of hundred yards away on the other side of the road. All are very close to the motorway. The Beancross restaurant can be a hit or a miss, mostly alright and very reasonable. There is an Italian restaurant next door called Chianti which is lovely, always had a great meal there. The Brewers Fayre attached to the PI doesn’t have a good reputation. The Beancross is a locally owned hotel chain, they also have the Cladhan and the Park hotel in Falkirk, called Hannigan Hotels. If you like Indian food I would highly recommend Sanam Tandoori restaurant in Falkirk, there is an ice cream parlour next door also.

Thank you! I’ll look up that festival now!
We’ve booked the premier inn for one night and then the Marriott in Glasgow for the second night. I’ve also booked the Wheel. I’ll look at booking that Indian now as we love Indian food! |

The area you will be in Glasgow has some great Indian restaurants near by but sounds like you might have had your fill the night before. You are close to the King’s Theatre - I think it is Amélie from next week.

We’re home and had a lovely time! In Falkirk we went to the Indian that was mentioned, on the Wheel, went to see the Kelpies and we also went to Callander House. We enjoyed walking round the canals too. In Glasgow we got tickets for the open top bus and went to the cathedral and the Necropolis, the museum of modern art, the transport museum and the tall ship. We did a bit of shopping too and ate lots of delicious things including a battered Mars bar! Thanks for all of the suggestions and help!
