DS is 15 and I booked our August flights last weekend. He gets his 1st jab in 9 days time. I’m hoping by the time he turns 16 in June they will at least let the 16-17’s get a 2nd jab. Although would 2 jabs 8+ months apart even classify as fully vaccinated?
It’s taken so long to roll out the jabs to the 12-15’s that he caught covid at school last month anyway. Fingers crossed the US revise their rules at some stage 🤞

Yep my 15 year old caught covid last month too! Annoyed as it could of been avoided if the gov just pulled their finger out and rolled out the vaccine program faster 😳 not to mention the worry and sleepless nights of him having covid!

We are booked for august, kids will be 16 & 14. Both will be vaccinated. My 13 year old should have had his vaccine this week but he tested positive last week so can’t have it yet 😬 I’m not even worrying about it right now, we’ve all seen how quickly things have changed in recent months, anything could happen between now and then, everything is booked on deposit only so will just cancel or change if need be.

Our 16yr old has had a single jab but not yet eligible for the 2nd so not 'fully vaxed'. Some seem to have had success getting a 2nd jab so think we will try just in case. Hopefully the rules will allow under 18s in on a negative test
"The CDC must also detail rules for exceptions, which include children not yet eligible for shots, as well as for visitors from countries where vaccines are not widely available. The administration must also decide whether to admit visitors part of COVID-19 clinical trials or have recently contracted COVID-19 and are not yet eligible for vaccination." |

we are booked for this December my son is 13. His school has heard nothing about vaccines yet (Shropshire).
Really wish the US could let people know what will be needed! We are also fully paid up Edited at 09:13 AM. |

I’m liking all your optimism. Our flights haven’t been released yet so hopefully we can get an ok quote
