Am going on the 12th and am severely stressed already. To be honest if I'd knew really thought about it all this flaffing about and paying 'Covid' premium for things like car hire etc. I think I may have not bothered and left it for another year or two. As it was had x2 BA reward flight vouchers to use up before they expired which 'pushed' me to make the booking. Am hoping that (fingers crossed pre Covid tests and lockdown rules willing) that I get to see excitement / enjoyment on my kids faces (they have never been) if we get to Magic kingdom and that that will make it all worthwhile !

Absolutely poured with rain nearly all day on Monday. Absolutely froze on Tuesday! Trousers and sweatshirt weather yesterday and today. I was very jealous of everyone in coats and gloves last night, I would have killed for some gloves last night!
We have been here for a week and I’ve worn shorts and T-shirt without freezing twice and we’ve been in the pool once. Worn a cardigan or sweatshirt every morning and evening - I don’t normally pack any but packed everything this time as I hadn’t studied the weather. So glad I did! It’s meant to be lovely tomorrow and Friday though 🤞🏼 ☀️ Then gets cooler again after that. It’s been about 9 degrees in the morning. Even the warm days need a sweatshirt morning/evening. It’s only the second time I’ve seen my husband in joggers over here and we’ve been nearly every Christmas for 10 years plus January a few times. It can be sunny and it says 19 degrees. - but it’s the wind that gets you! Blizzard Beach has been closed due to the weather. Someone I follow on Instagram that lives near Disney posted this today and I spat my drink out laughing. It’s so true! The locals are warm though! |

I booked the US package with Breath Assured for £45 on offer up till 30th November. That includes both tests which i thought was very reasonable. The service was fantastic also !

We arrived back this morning, I booked our day 2 test with Simplytestme when we were in Florida. They emailed the code instantly, form filled in online. The guy at Virgin check-in at MCO scanned the QR code from my mobile, and they check your covid vaccination status.
Test kits were here when we got back, you take a photo of the test and submit it back. All sorted. I know it was cool for Florida ... but trust me it's colder back in the UK! I still managed to get sunburnt whilst jet washing our drive. Couldn't paint the pool-deck due to the rain (oh well, gives me an excuse to go back again! ) |
