never had one cancelled maybe this is due to the massive numbers isolating at the minute?

*used to be able to book there & then at the donation site but now you have to call / use the app

I can't give blood because apparently I don't have enough! I'm very small you need to be over a certain weight
The first time I tried many years ago I was a student and dragged along a load of friends who really didn't want to but went in order to support me. It ended up all of them gave blood and I didn't I felt quite guilty with my cup of tea and a biscuit they gave you afterwards

Been trying to give blood for past 2 years they keep offering places that are just to far away when they bring it back to the city again I will start again but I not going 3 to 4 miles to give blood just in case I get a reaction

Yep O neg is the universal blood type that can be given to everyone. Its the one they give in emergencies as do not need to cross match.

I�m quite lucky as I�m O- so can donate easily, however my husband finds it a nightmare! I�m giving blood next Thursday so the bombardment of texts and emails has started to remind me of my appointment

I want to start giving blood again but every time I look the nearest appointment is 40 miles away. That just makes it impossible to do, so no donating for me until the world becomes a bit more normal, such a shame when they keep asking for donations and giving blood doesn�t bother me.

I'm A- and next week will be giving 57th pint. I'm pretty proud of that, started when I was 18 and now 43 so had a few gaps when pregnant, tattoos etc.
My best advice would be to download the app. The search function isn't the best but you can either search by location or by date. I prefer to search my where I want to go and then look at the dates...if not available go further afield.
