Covid test in UK, flight out of Dublin

Hi,

Just a quick question.

Will a Covid test taken in the UK be accepted if flying from Dublin?

I assume it will be fine, but just wanted to check if anyone knew for sure.
Maybe someone could post when they have actually done this scenario.

We did this in September, took the test on Friday, results Saturday, flew to Dublin Sunday, stayed overnight in the airport hotel and then on to USA Monday morning.
We had no issues at all, just had to complete the equivalent passenger locator info for Ireland.
Checked in and they just asked for the test result certificate, it was accepted without any further comment.
With the new 1 day requirement this would no longer work as you'd need to test the day of the flight to Dublin to still be within a day of the flight to the US.

Edited at 02:50 PM. Reason: update
