Best ticket deals... Universal and Disney

the in-Laws are joining us during our trip in May and will be doing 3/4 days at Universal and up to 5 days at Disney.

Trying to work out best combinations of tickets, but doesn't seem to be much savings on the UK based tickets and looking approx GB£ 750 pp for both.

does this sound about right? Should I be looking elsewhere?

Yes, those number of days are both around the tipping point where you may as well get a UK ticket for extra flexibility as the price difference isn't much. Especially if you think you'll want to park hop.

Prices in mid-May from Undercover Tourist. Because both are dated tickets, prices may vary slightly depending on the exact date you'd want each ticket to start. The 4 day Universal ticket is less than $10 more than a 3 day ticket as this is when their multi-day discount kicks in so went with that one.

5 day Disney base ticket - $523 (£383)
5 day Disney park hopper - $596 (£436)

4 day Universal base ticket - $294 (£215)
4 day Universal park to park - $346 (£253)

So you're looking at just under £700 for hopper tickets.

ETA: None of these ticket options include water parks, so that would be extra if they'd be interested in going.

Thank you... are the Disney tickets up to date prices from undercover tourist?

I guess I would need a VPN to get onto the Disney US site to purchase those tickets.

As for Universal, we are getting an annual pass. I believe we may get 15% off the gate tickets... would that be multi-day too?

We will be looking at full 3 parks at Universal!

Yes, they're the current prices. I'm not on my VPN laptop at the moment so can't check the Disney direct ones but they're usually not that much different to UT.

Add $40 if you want Volcano Bay on the Universal tickets. $20 for the Disney waterpark addon. That's for the hoppers anyway, different price if only adding to base.

I believe APs do get the ticket discount for multi-day, but depends which pass you have. The lowest pass doesn't get as much of a discount compared to the others.
