Downloading onto my ipad

If I download a programme from BBC I-player etc will I be able to watch it on the plane or abroad or will it be blocked ?

Or am I getting confused with streaming ?

Is it possible to stream while outside the UK (not on a plane !)

Not sure about I player with the licensing restrictions but I downloaded off Netflix and Prime and they worked fine om the plane and for the duration of the trip.

You can download from iplayer and watch abroad, I’ve done it lots! (If concerned just leave your iPad etc, on flight mode )

I have downloaded tv shows on iPlayer and watched them on the plane and while on holiday.

On one trip I stupidly downloaded all but the last episode of the Bodyguard before our trip, thinking I could download the last one when I got to Orlando. Unfortunately I couldn’t access the iPlayer (apart from the stuff I had already downloaded) so had to wait over 2 weeks to find out what happened! The suspense nearly killed me
