TUI Fly Drive Car Insurance
Hi all,
Hopefully someone can clarify something for us please. We're looking at a fly drive with TUI, we only ever get the basic insurance package and upgrade separately to fully comp/inclusive, but this line on the insurance info has confused me: Collision Damage Waiver - mandatory ($26 per day, pay on arrival) Can they make us pay that? What starts out as a good deal suddenly becomes much more expensive! Thanks |

yes, they can, and they will,
that's what will be charged by the rental company (or they won't release the car to you) and that's even before you consider Extended Protection ($1.000.000 third party liability) that you'll also need to take (add some $10 a day) (that's if you don't take the extortionate upgrade offered by TUI to get their whatever super uber ultra insurance ... that's basically a full priced car hire in itself) that's the reason why many here don't bother collecting the "free car", and arrange a separate rental, that's fully inclusive, often for less than the price you'd need to add for the "free car" have a look at the reputable companies in the yellow box at the top of this subforum, (I advise you got a quote from Andy at DFCH) Edited at 07:07 PM. |

Thank you for your help, I’ll look into it further to see if we can get it cheaper booking flights & car separate.
