October flight prices

We are looking to go back to Orlando in October but the flight prices are nearly double the price of when we normally go in September does anyone know why October is so expensive?

Yep man Mco direct are silly money this year . We couldn’t find anything under £700 so ended up indirect for £446 and I still don’t think that was cheap. We can on,y think there just aren’t as many flights from Manchester so it’s keeping the prices high.

When in October? School half term could be driving the prices up.

We’ve booked to travel from Gatwick because the prices from Manchester are ridiculous. We are travelling BA Gatwick to Tampa, 4 flights (2ad, 2c) and car hire with insurance for 2 drivers was under £2000. We fly 23rd Oct and back 10th Nov.

It's not just the Manchester flights either as from Edin-Gat-MCO the BA flydrives are still the highest I've seen. We ended up biting the bullet as accomodation we stayed in before was available and paid just over £700 each for fly-drive from 3/10-19/10 which includes one week in Scottish school holidays. We did see prices below £500 when they first came out but due to medical reasons couldn't book earlier and DH didn't fancy more than one stop or really long stopovers which could have brought the price down slightly.

As has been said the prices this year seem to keep going up but hope you find something suitable soon.

BA have cancelled all their flights into Fort Lauderdale from early September onwards so the other routes will be filling up quicker

Glasgow indirect flights are sky high too. My son paid £2900 for 2ad 2ch 12-26 Oct with BA indirect via Gatwick into and out of Tampa, flydrive. It covers the local school holiday week but even still! I could not believe the cost this year, we’ve never paid that amount for flights, admittedly we do usually go out of school holidays.
