I find the 1st and 2nd day back at home for the kids and jeg lag is fine as they are tired from travel, the jet lags days hit in on day 3.

However, i do fine its because they are not burning energy off compared to been on holiday and us having rubbish weather not playing out when we got home last week.

Just ensure you get them to sleep for the full flight.

We got home from Canada in January on a Sunday night, about 7pm, and I went to work the following morning. I was a bit weary on the Monday, but it definitely helped get my body clock back on track.

We land at 6am on Thursday morning and I was thinking if he'd had a good sleep on the plane I was gonna send him in 🙈

We got back on the Sunday and DD was back at school on the Monday.
It actually helped her get back into a routine and reduced the jet lag.
Kids bounce back pretty quick generally - plus she was so excited to see all her friends.

I am doing it this year - all of us are going straight back to work or school . Have done it before and wasn’t a problem , I just don’t let mine sleep for long the day we arrive home during day . Quick nap then bed at normal time .

In my experience we were far better off just getting up at the normal time and getting back into a routine. One of my daughter's classmates had a three week trip over Easter and then missed a full week AFTER they got back because of jetlag! His mother obviously made no attempt to get him back on track and just let him sleep whenever he wanted.

We’ve done it every time and I can 100% say mine were fine and coped a million times better than me and dh did! They literally get back into routine straight away and have an early night the first night at school and then back to normal, whereas it takes me a good week to adjust!

My kids went straight to school from the plane, landed in Manchester at was at school for 08:30, it was the best they have been as they stayed awake on the first day.

They were fine, 12 and 8.
