Mobile Swap resorts?

We are staying at music resort and could swap to art of animation we have stayed at aoa before but not music. Do you think it’s worth swapping? We go this August

YES - swap if you can! we usually stay at Pop and go to AoA for food occasionally, during our last short visit to WDW we stayed at ASSports and were really shocked by what felt like a downgrade in the quality of the resort, much more dated and it felt cramped compared to Pop/AoA. Now it is only fair to add that ASMusic is often cheaper so it does depend on how much you value money over time in the resort. For us however, AoA has great theming, a much better food court, buses that are not shared and depending on the time you are there in august you will probably get a chance to use the skyliner at least to the studios. If you know you like AoA then unless there is a big cash incentive - do not mess with a good thing!

Now all of this is my personal opinion however for a cold hard fact about how much better AoA is - the standard little mermaid rooms are never included in free dining promotions (either UK or US ones) because the resort itself is so popular they can fill these few buildings easily without offering a discount/incentive. That has to tell you something right?

I've stayed at both. The Mermaid rooms were nicely themed but didn't feel bigger than asm.

Food options were better at AOA.

We had a car both times so I can't comment on transport.

If you can swap free or cheap you know you like AOA. Depends on how much you are having to pay?

Standard rooms are the same size at both resorts (in fact at all the value resorts), roughly the same floorplan etc just brighter/more elaborate theming at AoA. Forgot to add - pool selection at AoA is better, there is nothing like the nemo pool at ASM.

If the upgrade price is reasonable I would go with AoA in a heartbeat for all the reasons mentioned above.
Pop is also a nice inbetween option pricewise which gives you access to the AoA food court, the Skyliner, and has the new rooms with wonderful mattresses.

The food court alone is worth a premium in my opinion. We stayed at AoA and the last two days at Movies on the same holiday and you get much more and better food for the same price at AoA.
