they had previosuly been denied entry to the US of A


all sounds like there is a lot more to this than reported..

My son got a Esta and Eta incase he went to Niagara and ended up in the USA by taking a wrong turning and getting lost. So I suppose it could happen if your near the border, not sure what happened here!
