Mobile CS Breakfast at resort - what's included?

Hi,
We have the dining plan for the first time in sept. I'm trying to make best use of the counter service credits. I know they are all classed as adult credits so I was going to get a adult breakfast for the girls to share. I also don't eat breakfast at home so I will have toast or cereal.

Would I use a snack credit for toast? And for cereal?

What comes with the adult breakfast? Drink? Side?

We will have refil mugs so won't need a drink.

Thanks 😊

For QSDP, you only get a main and a drink now regardless of meal. So no side or dessert, unless a choice of side is included in the main itself. But because you have the refill mug, you can swap your included drink for a side/dessert (basically any snack eligible item) for free.

I wouldn't use snack credits on toast, since it's less than a dollar and a snack credit is worth around the $5 mark. So pay OOP, or stick to cereal which is a better use of the credit. If you like oatmeal (porridge) you can usually get that as a side as well, or a variety of different pastries.

Unless you're spending time off site and will have leftover credits I would pay oop for breakfast. We usually do a mixture of paying oop and using credits. In a pancake meal you get 4 pancakes and 2 sausages and 2 bacon so easy enough for kids to share, it costs around $9 and with that you can have a drink that you can swap for a side so a croissant etc, or cereal. For toast, just pay oop, though i don't remember Por selling bread like all stars do so if needs be you can always buy a loaf of bread from the shop. You can use the toasters & butter/jam available in the foodcourt.

I did a qs food report during our trip in April that you might find helpful to have a look at. There are photos of everything we got, details of swaps etc. We do take the mini variety boxes of cereal with us, but they're for days when we just want a quick breakfast in our room before heading out, rather than to save money. Other that a couple of ts meals that we paid for and some milk for the cereal, we didn't spend any extra money on food, ate loads and had loads of credits left over at the end of our 2 weeks - even with 2 teenagers in tow. The link is at the bottom of my signature

If paying oop you can't swap drink for snacks in the same way that you can when using qs credits. You'd end up paying in full for both the breakfast and the snack.

If you decide to use some qs credits for breakfast, then use your refillable mug for the drink and swap the drink for a snack. A bowl of cereal is classed as a snack, as are things like yoghurt parfaits. So, you could get breakfast for 4 easily using 2 qs credits. That leave 2 qs credits for lunch/dinner, plus you'll have 8 snack credits per day to use, and there are some dbacks that easily make a lunch such as baked potatoes and chicken fried rice. There are a lot of meals that are big enough to share too, so look out for those as it will save with waste too - we threw away soooo much food on our first trip! With a full ts meal every day too, you'll have plenty to eat without needing to pay. I would hate for you to start paying for food at the beginning of your holiday only to have credits left over at the end. Do a bit of research, then suss the plan out during your first few days to see how it works best for you and you'll soon get in to the swing of it

Sorry yes I meant if using a credit, my post wasn't very clear.

Thanks you everyone, it's very confusing isn't it 🙈 I think I've managed to work it all out now. We are staying at RPR for 1 night/2 days and have days at seaworld/aquatica so I think I should be able to get all our meals onsite covered. I wouldn't mind if I'd have had the plan for free but as we have paid for it, I want to make the most out of it 😂

Loves2plan - I'm going to look at your report now 👍🏼
