BOG Breakfast vs. Dinner
Was lucky enough to have dinner here in 2014 and it was amazing!
I'm reading a lot of threads where people are getting breakfast ADRs and doing Fantasyland as soon at the park opens. For people who have been at both times of day, which did you prefer and why? And is the $24 breakfast worth it?

I have only done the breakfast so cannot answer your first question. We went twice indeed to take advantage of early morning Fantasyland.
We went on dining plan but no would not have been too impressed with paying $24 for that breakfast and a cup of tea. |

Dinner is much better food. I don't think the breakfast and and dinner food is comparable. However. Breakfast gets you into the park earlier if you can time it right. I only booked a breakfast there to get ahead of the wave, the food was cold.

We've done breakfast twice so far and will be doing it again this year. The food isn't brilliant - who wants cold eggs? However, for a CS credit the value is unbeatable.
OH and I had dinner there last time, and the steak was amazing. The chips were the nicest I've ever eaten - with the caveat that they put a special seasoning on them and they taste a bit odd. So, this time (yes, we're going for dinner again) I'm going to ask for unseasoned chips and then add a bit of ordinary salt.

Personally I wouldn't pay oop for breakfast, it's a good use of a QS credit but the food is just ok. Ours wasn't cold (as I know a lot of people's have been) but it's very pricey for what it is.
The food at dinner is much nicer and doesn't really compare. Lunch on the other hand I really enjoy and I think is good value (but that doesn't really help you with beating the morning crowds!)

Aw, that's disappointing to hear about the breakfasts. I'm not staying onsite so would be paying OOP.
Most people are saying the benefit is 7DMT but as I'm there in April I'm hoping to get a FP. Looks like it'll be another lovely dinner ADR in the Beast's Castle

We've got an 8.20 ADR for Breakfast, and we'll be paying OOP. I've not much expectation for the food, but we're going more for the experience, and to get on Mine Train then over to the queue for Peter Pan before the park opens.

They do also sell the masters cupcake at breakfast so I don't think there would be anything stopping you from getting coffee and a cake rather than the bigger breakfast!

I just want to remind that it's $24 just for the food. The drinks are up to $4.99 ON TOP! That's why it's really not good value to eat there unless you're on a dining plan.
The good news is that you can order just one breakfast between several of you, if you want to go down that route, or order just a cupcake and a drink. NB: I can't comment on the lunches as we've never eaten there at lunchtime. I personally don't like any of the lunch options anyway.
