Travel Insurance.
Hi,
We travel on the 9th Dec and have had our travel insurance in place since we booked in July. Over the weekend at a routine opticians appointment my daughter was found to have inflammation around her optic nerve. We saw an eye specialist on Tuesday who found everything to be fine in terms of her eye health and vision with the exception of this inflammation. She is due to have a MRI scan, hopefully before the trip but if not on our return to investigate what might be going on. I rang our insurance company to inform them of this development and this condition is now excluded from her cover. I'm not too sure what I expected them to say?!? I think I thought they would still cover it but ask for an extra premium.. I have no reason to think that this eye problem will give us any problems whilst we are away but I really don't like the idea of not being covered... Do I have any options at this point? Thanks. Ali. |
