Just read your second comment. Not cool to be honest, they seem to want it their way or no way and don't take into account that it is your holiday too!

Here is my suggestion:
Drop them (either your in-laws, or your hubby AND the in-laws) at the Boardwalk (RIGHT NEXT TO EPCOT). They can have a lovely and cheap-ish brekkie from the Boardwalk Bakery and enjoy the early morning around Crescent Lake. Then, when the park opens - they can walk into Epcot (10 minutes or less from Boardwalk Bakery) through the International Gateway and meet you in front of the Frozen ride (or wherever) at 9:15 (or whatever time you think best). I don't have a daughter - but here is my SON at Akershus (as you can see - he LOVED it): Stay cheerful and non-blame-y with them, but don't let others' failure to plan/research/budget spoil your fun. |

Go without them. You don't need to do everything together and might be nice to go without them anyway.

I know I've posted a lot on your driving queries recently and I don't want to get too controversial on this thread but I was going to post something similar Yours and your kid's first trip and you are trying to create magical experiences for them and you that can never be repeated. Yet your husband is prepared to pass on all these magical memories that last a lifetime to placate his parents who have had ages to research the costs. We'll never forget our first trip in 1990 when our two were 16 and 12. Mick

Oh bless your heart! How annoying we had the same sort of thing when we went a few years ago with my MIL!
I'd just drop them off wherever it is you're going and let them make their own way to wherever they want to go. Don't let them spoil your own plans! xxx |

Please don't cancel Akerhaus, it is so lovely to meet the princesses, my favourite photo of all the Disney trips we've done is my 4 year old gazing at Snow White in awe and we still laugh at Mulan asking my DS who was 7 if he had a sword and him telling her he had a thousand... she was very impressed.

I'd take dd and go for a special time just the 2 of you. Book uber or ask Dh to drop you off then rest of them meet you there later. They are only into princesses for such a short period of time. If Dh and boys want to come drop pil at boardwalk and they can get a coffee at bakery and boat to Epcot for 9am opening.

Honestly, I would. This is so unfair of your FIL to be "working on" your husband to convince him none of you should go. I'd blazing and informing my husband that we were going and his parents could stay at the villa.

I wouldn't let them dictate what you do- of course they can say they can't afford it, that is their privilege however annoying. Just go with your daughter. Let the others decide what they are going to do. You and your daughter go in a taxi if needs be.
