I rented from Budget a few years ago and received a letter this morning. They attach a form to send back if you do not want to claim. I will be waiting to see what happens!

We've had a letter this morning too.

I'm worried about getting involved with it in case it affects any future ESTA applications. I may be worrying over nothing but with security getting tighter and tighter, you never know, do you?

I had a letter this morning too! It is possible that I have had e mails but if it looks a bit suspect I always delete as I assume it is phishing or spam. Letter seems legit, will do nothing and wait and see what happens.

They can't make you pay for something you have nothing to do with. The fact they are asking you to opt out of something rather than opt in is frankly bad practice but does add weight to the fact that you are not liable for their actions. You could have moved. How would you know to opt out. Frankly I wouldn't worry.
