Attraction tickets, Disney activation date

I am thinking of booking Disney hotel & tickets with AT, but it says Disney tickets activated upon check in to the hotel. We are staying at Hard Rock the week before & will wany to activate the tickets before we check in.
Am I right in thinking once we are linked to disney experience & have booked park days, we can activate just by entering the park? & wont need to wait till we get to the hotel?

I don’t understand that instruction as your tickets are activated on your first visit to the parks.

If you are getting a package that includes a Disney hotel stay and Disney tickets in one then it states that the tickets can't be activated before you check-in. They can be activated at any time during your onsite stay - you don't have to activate them on your first day. They are activated when you first use them to enter a park, not when you check in.

The issue you will have is getting the tickets before you check-in. Disney does allow this, but usually only a few days beforehand. You would have to go to Guest Relations and ask whether you can pick up your tickets early.

If you are getting the Disney tickets separate to the onsite stay then there will be no issues and you can start using the tickets whenever you want (well, within the year that they are valid).

So if I get the tickets as part of a package & can book my days online in my disney experience then they are linked to my existing magic band, so can I not just go straight to the park without checking in to the hotel?

I dont think we would get actual tickets, but if we do would they not be sent out to us by attraction tickets if thats who I book with?
